[GUIDE] How to root and install CWM for Galaxy V SM-G313HZ

In this thread, i would like to share tutorial about How to install CWM Recovery and rooting Samsung Galaxy V SM-G313HZ. 


Requirement :
  • PC/Laptop/Netbook.
  • USB Cable.
  • Brain.

 Installing CWM :

  • Extract odin and CWM_Vivalto_v6.0.3.7_Build#3_(ODIN_VERSION).zip in the same folder
  • Open Odin v3.09
  • Reboot phone in Download Mode (press and hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons)
  • Connect phone and wait until detected on Odi
  • Add the recovery.tar.md5 file to AP / PDA
  • Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked
  • Click the start button, sit back and wait a few minutes
  • Wait until the flashing process is complete
Rooting :
  • Copy UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.94.zip to External SD.
  • Go to CWM.
  • Install zip -> from sdcard.
  • Choose UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.94.zip and wait untill finished.
  • Reboot system now.
  • If there is notif "fix supersu blablabla" just press "back" button.

Congratulations ! , You have succesfully root and install CWM Recovery on your Samsung Galaxy V ! , If you have a rooted access you can modify your ROM and use a lot of usefull applications that avalaible on Google Play Store.       Gan ane coba apa yang di suruh di blog ini..saya instal cwm berhasil .trus nyoba masuj ke recovery ko gak bisa malah blank layar putih berganti hitan gimana tuh gan ?terimakasih sebelum nya

    Help!!! I've perfectly followed the instructions or procedures of installing CWM Recovery but now I can't access recovery mode (volume up + home then press power button), it just displays a very small exclamation mark at the top left most of my phone screen with the logo at the center then it will turn black then back to logo w/ ( ! ). I want my phone rooted, I've even tried to root my phone in "how to root your phone using VRoot (now IRoot)" after downloading .tar file through Odin mode but failed because recovery mode seems to be gone and nowhere. Please do help me, because some sites tell me that it is irreparable to recover the original / official built-in recovery mode of SM-G313HZ Android version 4.4.2 KitKat. This is a SERIOUS, you know! I'm SERIOUS!

      Cool man , what you need just relax , patience , and Im very sorry if Im late, You can try this step :

      -Flash your stock ROM back
      -DO NOT do an OTA update after flash your stock rom
      -Download custom kernel (Follow the guide in this blog)
      -Flash cwm recovery
      -Root it

      Done , Try this step man and chill (^_^)

      Excuse me bro, im Indonesian n i kno u r too.
      Ane minta solusinya gan.. Jadi gini gan, hp ane pun sama seperti siii agan yang diatas, dari booting dimulai layarnya mulai acak2an, garis putih/flek hitam sampai dia masuk ke tampilan utama tuh malah jadi blank, kan ane pake pola, saat ane touch kerasa geter karena pola salah, tapi posisi tuh hp blank gan. Ini cara kembaliinnya gimana? Ga ada cara yang lain selain flashing firmware?

    gan ane dari indo nih.. kenapa kok waktu mau nutup CWM kok ada tulisan Fix Root?? (System/xbin/su)

      Galaxy V bootloader is not locked , so we can just straight away root it

      Kalau flashing firmware, emang iya gan gal v itu milih firmware? Harus yg bener2 cocok? Punya ane pake yg G313HZOLB0ANJ2 malah blank semua:(

    dude.. help.. odin cnt detect my phone.. i already set my phone to download mode..i al ready add recovery tar to AP .. but still odin cnt detect my phone.. do i have to enabled my usb debugging/??

      For sure and better succesfull rate , Yes enable usb debugging first then INSTALL SAMSUNG USB DRIVER THAT HAS BEEN PROVIDED

    Hello from a newbie trying to root his Galaxy V using your very helpful site :)

    When I try to reboot CWM into Recovery, I get ""An error occured while attempting to run privileged commands". Any idea what I might be doing wrong?

    hi, thank you for this,i am going to try this as soon as i get home. But, is there any way to unroot? my phone is still under warranty so just incase i have to send my unit back to samsung, i can revert my system back to stock.

    Hi I have tried many times to flash CWM or TWRP, all failed. They ended with a little red exclamation mark at the top left corner. After reboot, the stock recovery is back again.

    I also tried to flash a stock rom and flash a custom kernel as described in your blog. But it rebooted to a white screen of death again.

    Can you help me out? Thanks in advance

    when I select the zip in recovery mode it shows footprint or something error what to do now
